The grassroots program will be an affordable soccer program, where no child is turned away due to finances. The program will be directed by licensed coaches that will lead the children through an age appropriate curriculum, with the objective of creating a strong athletic foundation to maximize the child’s long-term potential in any sport.

Belinda Halloran

Napa Soccer Academy welcomes Belinda Halloran

“Over the past three years, the Napa Soccer Academy has succeeded in offering an Elite soccer program for the Napa boys. This was a much-needed offering here in Napa that finally became available for players in the 2000 age group all the way down to the 2010 age group. Now, we feel that the time is right to offer the same experience to Napa girls who are looking for a competitive elite program. This will start in conjunction with a third program called the grassroots program for the younger players of both genders,” said President Dr. Ramzi Deeik.

Part of this plan was also finding the right leaders to direct the programs. Napa Soccer Academy believes they have found the right leaders.  Belinda Halloran is the current Varsity Associate Head Soccer Coach at Justin Siena High School. A former State and High school level soccer player who went on to become a 6 x World Triathlon Champion Medalist and 7-time Australian National team member is also a national medalist in Track and Field. Halloran always had a passion for soccer and started focusing on soccer coaching 7 years ago when she and her family moved to the USA from Australia. Now a permanent US resident Halloran had been searching for the right club to develop her skills both as soccer coach and as a leader of young female athletes. After joining Nor Cal Premier League’s Women’s Committee earlier this year, Halloran feels she has found a home with her fellow coaches at Napa Soccer Academy and hopes to develop as a coach and share with her girls her elite mentality that sustained a career as pro athlete for over 20 years.

Director Gabe Rood saw Halloran’s professionalism, potential and enthusiasm to learn and brought her on board.

“With the support of our current coaches we believe Belinda will grow as a coach and her energy will bring a new dynamic to the club and help us create a positive culture for girls to grow as athletes and as strong young women,” said Director of Coaching Gabe Rood. “All our staff and coaches are simply amazing and I’m proud to be associated with them. Their willingness to learn and work together is something that the club is extremely proud of.”

Record number of Napa Soccer Academy teams gear up for the 2018/2019 NPL Season

Four Napa Soccer Academy Teams will compete in the National Premier League (NPL). Every year the Napa Soccer Academy club and teams get stronger. The 2018/2019 season will see a record number of team participating in the top boy’s league for the Nor Cal Premier.  The top teams from the NPL will earn a chance to play into the ENPL National Finals (partnership between ECNL & NPL), which is the top boys’ competition for US Club Soccer.

Season Preview:

2000/2001 Team: The 2000/2001 team will be very much improved for the 2018/2019 season. The team should be one of the top teams in the state, as virtually every top 2000/2001 player in the area has converged to the Napa Soccer Academy. The club has created two teams with close to 40 players competing for a spot on the 1st team.

2002 Team: The two-time state cup semi-finalist will once again be competing with the top teams in the state. The team has added 5 new players to the team and if the team stays healthy, should be competing as one of the top teams in an extremely competitive age group.

2003 Team: The defending Nor Cal NPL champions and ENPL 3rd place national finalist will once again be one of the favorites in the Nor Cal NPL League. The team has picked up 4 new players, which will add depth and more quality to a very competitive team.

2004 Team: The 2004 team has picked up a bunch of new players. With top players arriving to the club from Vallejo, American Canyon, Solano, and Fairfield, this team should look to get better and better over the course of the year. The players are growing more cohesive and have improved by playing with the 2003, 2002, 2001, and 2000 players in practice.

Napa Soccer Academy Player's shine at Alianza De Futbol

Alianza, the national identification program that discovered Jonathan González, was in Northern California identifying some of the top players for Professional Tryouts. Congratulations to Sucre Herrera,  Eric Vargas, Emiliano Hurtado, Sammy Villanueva, and Cristian Ceja for representing the Napa Soccer Academy at the showcase. All 5 players were invited back for the 2nd day (out of 500+ players) and 3 of the players received professional invites to the SJ Earthquakes (USA), Toluca (MX), and Pachuca (MX). This is amazing, considering only 14 players in total received professional invites.

Napa Soccer Academy Player's train with Frans Hoek

Players from the 2004 and 2003 boys teams had the opportunity to train with Frans Hoek. Frans has coached at some of the top clubs and national teams in the world: Ajax, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and many more...

A true top level experience for the players!
